Habitat: Growing on disturbed soil of roadcut in rolling to mountainous oak-manzanita-dominated Madrean evergreen woodland.
Substrate: Stony soil.
Associated Species: Quercus emoryi, Quercus oblongifolia, Arctostaphylos pungens, Platanus wrightii, Cuphea wrightii, Zinnia peruviana, Baccharis salicifolia, Ambrosia confertiflora, Bouteloua curtipendula, Aristida adscensionis.
Description: 3-5 dm tall, erect, annual herbs. Pale ray and yellow disk flowers.
Notes: This was a fairly common flower in the area.
